One of our most popular requests is to have Hardie Plank installed. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the super-siding, here’s some useful info.
HardiPlank is an engineered, nonwood exterior siding product that is exclusively produced by the James Hardie Commercial Co. It is produced from a fibrous cement material that resists weather, water, insect and fire damage. HardiPlanks and the other building products produced by James Hardie Commercial meet green standards in building and construction.
HardiPlank is designed for residential and commercial use. It is designed to imitate the look of natural wood but without the high maintenance of a wood exterior finish.
HardiPlank is a green building material due to its earth-friendly components, low-maintenance materials, low toxicity, noncombustibility and low-waste manufacturing practices.
There are 8 different types of Hadie Plank available in the NYC area, those types are:
- The Select Cedarmill
- The Beaded Cedarmill
- Smooth
- Beaded Smooth
